This all-natural recipe is made with healing organic cocoa butter, oils & beeswax that protect and hydrate the lips. Nothing but the good stuff here! Rich & creamy raw cocoa butter infuses this lip balm with chocolate then and top it off with almond oil, coconut oil & peppermint essential oil and this lip balm literally smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream! Your friends and family will love it!
Mint Chocolate Lip Balm
Add cocoa butter, oils & beeswax to a heat safe glass measuring cup (pyrex is great). Add water to a small cooking pot to create a double boiler. Place the measuring cup into the water bath. Turn the heat on low and gently warm your oils until the beeswax is completely melted. Remove from heat, add the vitamin E and peppermint essential oil and mix well.
Pour into lip balm tubes. To avoid getting a hole in the center of your lip balm, pour in two rounds. For the first round of pouring, leave a little bit of room (about 1/8 inch) at the top of the tubes. Allow the balm to cool. Pour again, filling the tubes all the way to the top. This recipe yields approx. 12 lip balm tubes.
